This is the third test post on our blog.  I guess third time’s the charm and I can officially release the link to our family and friends!  It will be interesting as we’ve never blogged before.  Be gentle with us!

For those who don’t know, we are setting off on our first real journey in the motorhome!  We leave on Monday, November 26!!  Cross fingers!  We’ve encountered a few bumps on the path to getting ready for this trip, including a cracked windshield which had to be replaced 😤, followed by an electrical issue which took Bob several days to troubleshoot and solve (he is extraordinary at this stuff, and continues to amaze me 💪🏻), and having the Ford set up for flat towing so that we don’t have to deal with the tow dolly anymore (which cost about $3000 more than we expected 😱). But, it is what it is, and at least now we are in really good shape to take off!

The plan is to head south and then west.  We’ll be looking at warmer, more affordable places to live, visiting family and friends, and seeing parts of this great country that we never thought we’d get to see.  We are not sure when we will be back but think the journey will take at least 5 months.  This blog is intended as a way to stay in touch with you all and keep everyone posted on our journey in one (hopefully) easy step.

So, we’re off to enjoy a wonderful, thankful day with family.  Tomorrow we start the big push to pack up The Beast!  We are thankful for our family and friends and look forward to sharing this journey with you.  💖
