Happy Anniversary to Us!

6160C447-E969-490D-BD16-B0890126D574Two years ago today, I married my perfect match, Bob!  We said that we’d have adventures, and we sure are doing just that!  I had been divorced for 22 years and Bob about 15 years.  We were friends for 5 years before we started dating.  I don’t know why it took us so long to consider dating, but I guess everything happens in it ‘s time.  My advice to folks who are out there hoping to meet their perfect person is to consider everyone, even if you think they are probably not your type.  Maybe they are!  We are proof!

So, here we are in a Cracker Barrel parking lot in Harrisonburg, VA, for the night, and it is COLD AS HECK!  It is currently 28 degrees with a wind chill making it feel like 22.  Last night we had no heat because you aren’t supposed to run generators when you boondock in parking lots like this, but we can’t stand it tonight so Bob started the generator to warm us for a bit.  I don’t think anyone will complain.  Not in this cold!  Glad we didn’t fill the water tanks because they would be frozen now.  So, we don’t have water on board to wash up, clean dishes or flush!!  Tomorrow night we’ll be in a campground with hookups, thank God!  #ThisIsNotGlamping

We filled up today for $2.149!!!!  No kidding!  Interesting, isn’t it?  That’s 45 cents less than the cheapest station in Manchester!  Shaking my head.

Well, looking forward to warmer temps.  Probably not tomorrow, but looking forward to Thursday’s low 50’s in Rock Hill, SC!!!

  1. Happy Anniversary. How funny! I stayed overnight in Harrisonburg two weeks ago. Gas prices are even cheaper in South Carolina. Have you decided on a 1st destination for a long term stay? I’m living vicariously through your posts.

  2. It depends what you mean by “long term.” Tomorrow we land in Rock Hill, SC and will stay there for 4 nights. Then Aiken, SC for 5 nights. After that, on to FL. 3 or 4 stops there. Stay tuned!
